At last we can reveal the first official images of the eagerly awaited new Subaru WRX STI.
As you’d expect, the new car is packed full of technology, such as Subaru’s unique Symmetrical AWD and specially developed in-house 6-speed manual transmission as its base technologies, multi mode DCCD (Drivers Control Center Differential) and VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control), which control traction and stability more precisely, have also been added to WRX STI.
According to Subaru’s official blurb: “To complete its performance credentials, the evolved chassis by ‘Subaru Dynamic Chassis Control Concept’ has dramatically improved road-hugging capability and will provide exhilaration and confidence in every driving situation.”
We’re glad to see the car’s looks are a great improvement over the lower-spec new Subaru’s, with flared arches and 18in alloys giving the WRX STI real road presence.
As we revealed with our recent SPY SHOTS , buyers can expect around 300bhp, a 0-60mph time of 4.5secs and a top speed in the region of 160mph from its turbo’d 2.5-litre flat four engine.
All this will be yours for around £27,000.
The new Subaru Impreza WRX STI will be formally introduced to the world on October 24th at 11:50am Tokyo time, during the 40th Annual Tokyo Motor Show.

to be honest it is a much better looking car than the previous models but the impreza was never designed to be a beauty queen, and i think it has lost some of the impreza rally character
